Hi

Just completed my first build.. which includes a MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 (open box) motherboard

The motherboard did not come with the Antennas which is not an issue as I prefer ethernet connection

I installed windows10 via usb .. and after completing the installation I connected the ethernet cable to PC.. but no network was detected..

Went to motherboard website and downloaded Network Drivers.. upon running the installation I ran into the following issue/error "the following feature couldn't be installed .net framework 3.5 0x8024402c"

I tried to do the following
1) enable the .net 3.5 feature in windows programs and features
2) Enabled specify settings for optional component (group policy)

from what I've seen windows installation should be straightforward with all drivers should up and running.. so i fear i might have done something wrong or there are issues with the motherboard.. and I'm stuck as a lot of the alternative solution requires internet connection which Im unable to do directly on the new PC

your help and assistance will be highly appreciated

You need to install the chipset drivers and network hardware drivers which came with the motherboard. Since this was an open-box motherboard, the drivers may not be in the box. You can download them from here -- https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z690-EDGE-WIFI-DDR4/support
