I bought an old server board from eBay because it had a few features I was interested in. The motherboard is an Arbor Technology MB-i67Q0 board, and the manual is available online at https://www.arbor-technology.com/gl/Product/Pro/Model/MB-i67Q0_1/Download. I tried booting into the BIOS so I could alter the RAID configuration, but I can't seem to get past it, or get rid of it. Here are the things I've done:
  • Unplugged machine, took out CMOS battery, and left out for 30+ minutes
  • Unplugged machine, moved CMOS jumper to reset position as detailed on page 20 of the manual, tried turning on the computer with it. When the jumper was in the reset position, the PC wouldn't turn on at all
  • Tried various BIOS backdoor passwords
  • Attempting to boot from a USB drive to install FreeDOS, Windows XP, and Linux Arch. This always ends up displaying the "Could not find boot medium" screen.
What else can I do? I've even reached out to Arbor Technologies to see if they can provide the password for them. Am I doing something wrong it any of the steps?
