[SOLVED] Clicking HDD question.

Earlier today my HDD started clicking at the moment its only when I play games but I heard it will progressively get worse and die. I plan to buy a new one tomorrow (cant afford it until then) and it will take a few days to get here. My question is how long does a clicking hdd usually last? or I guess what are the chances of it living the 5ish days I need to wait to get a new one? I believe its the hdd anyway, a friend said he's not sure what else could make that noise in the pc.

Sorry for asking another question but should I avoid games until it gets replaced? I assume yes but figured I would still ask.

coin toss really. it could last another year or another 5 minutes.

back up any important data and hope it lasts till you get the new one

taxing it with gaming is prob a good way to make sure it dies sooner rather than later.

Turns out my sister had a spare external hard drive, now I just need to figure out how to get windows 10 from my dying one to the new one

when you get the new drive, you can try to clone the old one. if it holds up long enough you'll be ok.

if not, then you'll have to start over.
