Question Clone 2x M.2 NVME RAID 0 Image to one M.2 NVME

I am a new subscriber, and I was wondering if I could ask a question if people had a minute.

My question is can I install the image to just one m.2 drives and delete the raid on the c:?

I created a raid 0 with two m.2 NVMe drives. Both are 256Gb each. This setup has been working for 3 years and is going well. BUT.. I am running out of space now, and I was going to upgrade the two m.2 drives. But I thought of removing the RAID for the C: Drive and installing the image onto just one M.2 NVME.

I have software to clone the image and reupload it using a USB key using Macrium.

I have two other raids going, D: is two 4 TB drives and E: is two 256 GB SSD's.

Would these be effected?

I am a bit lost and wondering if you could help?

Yes, you can probably do this with an Image in Macrium.

Create an Image of the current C drive.
Replace the 2x 256 with 1x 512 or larger.
Boot from a Macrium Rescue USB
Apply that Image to the new drive


Is this software or hardware RAID?

Thank you for your kind reply.

I am a tech noob, so this is what I did.

I used the utility on the motherboard to create a raid and the RAIDS are listed there. I watched a few YouTube videos and created the RAID on the motherboard first, made sure that was working then installed Win 10.

I also installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology and my RAIDs are listed there.

Is this both hardware and software?

I do not have a raid card installed.

I was researching and it was suggested that one M.2 is just as good as a RAID 0 with two M.2 NVMEs.

In reality, you're not really gaining any performance benefit with the RAID 0 + SSD's. Either set.
It sounds like it should be a good idea, but it isn't.

I thought it was a good idea as the last time I built a PC, RAID was faster, but with the new M.2 I found out after I made the RAID and had the OS installed. I now have Macrium and now I can do this transfer after I have made an image and reinstalled it back on.
