Cloned SSD only works properly when plugged in..

I recently upgraded the ssd of my asus rog GL552vm from 128gb to a 500gb crucial mx500, the issue i have is that the laptop will crash when not plugged in. But works perfectly when plugged in..
Is there some setting in the power option that i need to change,,?

I t only started after the clone? That is an older laptop and may well need a new battery.
