Question Cloning system (Windows 11) M.2 Gen 3 SSD 256 GB to a larger capacity M.2 SSD?

I have a HP Pavilion TP01-2137c with and Erica6 motherboard. The Windows 11 system resides on a 256GB M.2 PCIe Gen 3 SSD. I'd like to clone the 256 GB drive to a 1TB or 2TB M.2 drive. Cloning is not an issue. The question is will the bios accept the larger drive. HP is famous for locked down and restrictive BIOS so I thought I'd put the question out there before I invest in a new drive. Thanks.

if you cannot get a straight answer directly from HP support,
plug in the drive and check the BIOS to see if it appears.

if not, your options could be to return the drive or get a decent system to move any other higher quality components to for a much better system.

Locked down bios =/= restricted hardware. It means they don't allow tinkering.

The drive shouldnt present any issues.

RE: getting a straight answer from HP "support." I haven't had any luck getting past the script readers. The system works fine as a general office computer. A "much better system" would be overkill. Thanks.
