I tryied to clone my C drive that contains Windows into my 120 GB SSD. Computer cloned, as it said. Tryied to boot from SSD - nothing, windows won't load. Checked Macrium Reflect software, that I used for cloning, and noticed, that the cloned files takes up less space in SSD than in C drive. I assume it's missing some files, that are requered for booting. Tryied to clone again after cleaning out SSD with Command prompt. After 4th atempt I gave up. C drive is used only 62.3GB, and SSD is 120GB

Will this trick work - install windows on ssd, boot from ssd and delete OS from hdd ?

you can't clone more than 120GB worth, how much space is consumed on the HDD?
it would probably be easier to just install fresh

'dual boot'?

A screencap of your current Disk Management window will clear up any questions.
We can proceed from there.

Cloning, done right, works.
Done wrong, and you'll end up with a mess.
OS installation, done wrong, and you'll also end up with a mess.

What i ment is to have 2 os on separate drives

Right.
And done wrong, things can go badly.

For instance, if you have both drives connected while you do the second OS install...you'll need both drives connected always.
You can't remove the HDD later.
Here is my plan. Disconnect HDD and install os on SSD. Then, test if it's booting from ssd. If it does, I will reconnect HDD and set boot priority to SSD, and delete os from HDD

When you install a new OS on the SSD you will have to install all of your programs again that’s what he means.

May as well get your data off of the hard drive and format it when you’re done to use it as a storage device

if you install a clean windows install to the SSD then it won't have any knowledge of the applications you used to have installed. Get it? because it's a NEW CLEAN install?

maybe someone else can help you out.

What do you mean? I'm not planning to format old hdd
When an application (or a driver for your hardware) is installed, it makes dozens (or thousands) of entries in the Registry and elsewhere.
Your new OS that you install knows nothing about them.

It is literally like your PC was when you first built it or opened the box.
You cannot use those applications that live with the OS on the HDD.
