Hi guys, I'm in need of a new rig rebuild I know for sure. I got Division 2 as a free DL from work though and am very into in big time. From what I hear it is very CPU dependent and most everyone has lag/load/fr issues with much better rigs than mine. I'm hoping to milk what I have for a month or so until I can load up a new MB/CPU combo. (side note, I originally built this as my recording studio as I'm a musician. For a future proof rebuild for both intermediate recording and gaming Ryzen or Intel?) I'll list my set up below. I'm overclocking my gtx 1050 ti using Afterburner, I've spellunked my way through just about everything from power to my Ethernet controller to turning off anything hiding that isn't needed. Can I milk my CPU? I'm not sure I fully understand the term "bottlenecking". I know what it means with regards to a signal reaching it's end point. I read specifically my gpu will "bottleneck" my CPU. Thanks in advance for any advice, tweaks and knowledge I could use to get the best out of Division 2 pending a new build :)

Intel E 8500 CPU (quad core)
Nvidia GTX 1050 ti GPU
8GB RAM
Samsung EVO SSD
EVGA Gold Certed 650 W Modular PS

I'm much more of an experienced PC builder since I first built this rig over 10 years ago. It's a "franken rig" with the GPU taken from a gaming rig I built for a friend, the PS installed after a burnout and obviously the SSD. I'm learning how to overclock using MSI for my current GPU. I've never got into overclocking my CPU or GPU for I didn't really feel comfortable but I've read a ton and feel good about it now especially using MSI Afterburner with it's very friendly UI.
