If those ever leak and cause liquid stuff to spill around the computer, would it be time to get a new closed loop system at that point?

Solution
If it leaks? Yes, you'd certainly want to replace it, ideally by means of an RMA if it's still in the warranty period.

Firstly the leak needs to be plugged, which probably won't be possible as the vast majority of CLCs are not user serviceable, and secondly the fluid would need to be topped up, but with the majority of CLCs the loop is completely closed, so there's no easy way for them to be refilled by the end user (assuming you even know what the correct coolant is).

Also of course, you'd have to hope the liquid hadn't caused any damage to any other components in the case.
