hi,
So i had the money and i upgraded my build from
Cpu- i5 4440
Ram- Corsair 8Gb 1300Mhz DDR3
Board- Msi Gaming5 Z97

To:
Cpu- i5 8400
Ram- Corsair 8Gb LPX 2400Mhz Ddr4
Board- Asus Strix Z370 F
PSU- EVGA Supernove Nex 650W
GPU- Asus Strix GTX 1070

The games i play the most are Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch sometimes, PUBG installed on Samsung Evo 250GB SSD

My questions are
1.The load time of Rainbow six has increased like 0 to 5 seconds. Why ?
2. While Playing a Game, The Ram Load reaches 70-80%. Why ?
3. i5-8400 is just 2.80 Ghz having 6 cores and i have read on many forums that ppl having 4Ghz speed from i5 8400 and how do i know if i am using the full power of the Coffee lake or not.
Is there i am missing ? Or is there i have done wrong ?
Please be simple while explaining !
Thank you.

That's the problem right there. New mobo/CPU require fresh window install. If you don't, it may work but will not run at optimum.

If you search in this forum, you will find that a lot of people upgrade to new mobo/CPU and ends up similar problem like yours because they did not install fresh window,.

M.2 storage devices in short ? Probably better for you to read it.

I've recently purchased an i5 8400 as well. I faced a few problems, to which i solved by reinstalling windows. ( Although its now not completely required to re-install windows, its highly recommend)

To answer your other questions, the i5 8400 runs at 2.8Ghz Base Clock, with Turbo boost to 3.8Ghz - 4.0Ghz. Your procesoor has likely been running at around 3.8Ghz majority of the time, so you shouldn't worry about that.

Also another thing to note, the i5 8400 is recommended to be paired with 2666Mhz memory for optimal performance, although you only have 2400Mhz ram, you can use XMP in your BIOS to overclock it to 2666Mhz. I have my 16GB 2400Mhz set overclocked to 3200Mhz, but do receive some minor errors, but 2666Mhz will most likely not put any strain on the RAM.

If you have any other question, don't hesitate to let me know.
