Currently have a Celeron M410 in it. I want to put in an Intel Core duo T2250. Is this possible?
Can I use the same heatsink? Also can anyone point me to detailed directions on how to take apart the laptop to do this.

I have already did the FlashBios update for this model of Compaq to version F24.a, it was F15 before.

Thanks

You can't, at least I think so. You'll have to upgrade your motherboard too, and get a new cooler if you can. Or you could stick with the stock cooler from the T2250.

I just did the swap from a M410 SL8W2 1.46 Ghz Intel Celeron to a T2250 1.73 Ghz Core Duo on my Acer Aspire 3650 and it was the easiest cpu swap ever. It is faster, quieter, and wayyyyyy better overall. I think this laptop is probably one of the easiest to access the cpu and perfect for a novice. I upgraded my Acer Aspire 3680 and it took way more disassembly than the 3650/3651
