How much would I lose in gaming if I used the laptop over the desktop? Thanks in advance.

The desktop would be a lot faster since the 2600K can be overclocked to 5GHz without any issues on air, and the 460M does not nearly match the desktop 460 in terms of performance. However, the laptop would still be very fast.

Both CPUs would run any game.

The video is a trick. Desktop model numbers are not the same as laptop model numbers.

Laptop 460M = 192 CUDA Cores, 16B textures/sec
Desktop 460 1GB (not SE) = 336 CUDA Cores, 37.8B textuires/sec

See where this ends on video performance ?

But dual 460m would spank the desktop I use (gtx 260) so buy what makes sense to you. The laptop will game. For a few mins on battery. While getting very hot. With no future upgradability.
