Hi

I am planning to build my own custom gaming rig for the first time. I have the parts I want (Haven't bought them yet) and i just want to check with the community if its compatible.

Also if you want to make any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I live in NZ so I cannot buy from newegg.com or other websites based in America as it's inconvenient for me and this build i am planning fits my budget.

So here are the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Professional ATX LGA1155

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

SDD: Intel 520 Series Cherryville 120GB 2.5"

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU: Corsair HX650 V2 650W Modular Power Supply 80PLUS GOLD

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B3ST/BLK/G/AS DVD/CD Writer

Also which OS is better for gaming?

Windows 7 or 8?

I'd switch the SSD with an OCZ Vertex 4 or a Samsung 830, otherwise the rest of the build is good to go. I'd get Windows 7 for OS.

If you post the store you're buying from I can suggest a different SSD - stay away from Intel. Their "reliability" is very underestimated. I have a drive and the last firmware update for it that (sort of) worked was dated 2009, after checking with Intel - there hasn't been anything since. They do the same thing with their motherboards as well.
