Compressed (zipped) Folder option not available in Send To

I'm trying to zip a few files and the option Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder is missing. It was there a few weeks ago and worked fine, but now the only option in Send To is Bluetooth, everything else has disappeared. The only change I've made recently was a downloaded Steam a few days ago. I'm having a hard time finding info on how to fix this in Windows 10, most everything I've found is for Windows 7 and previous so I'm reluctant to try those since I don't know what it'll do to this version. Anyone know how I can restore this option? Thanks.

ETA: I do have StuffIt Expander installed for easy unzipping and when I tried to open it just now it crashed. I've now tried three times and it crashes each time. Could this be related? I have some files I really need to zip ASAP (I sell online and need to get them posted).

Hi,

Please do try Winrar instead of using Stuffit Expander it's more reliable compare to that one you have installed.
- First, uninstall the Stuffit Expander from your PC.
- Next is to install Winrar. Here's the link: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
- Just download the correct Winrar software (64 or 32 bit)
- Once installed do try zipping or compressing any file in your PC.

I've used Winrar in the past and didn't really like it but I'll try it again for unzipping. I'd really prefer to be able to fix the problem though instead of having to rely on a separate program. Even though this particular problem is more of a nuisance it makes me wonder what else is going wrong to have caused this option to just disappear. Thanks.

7-zip is also a good option - make sure you do a Custom Install and select all the Right Click menu options.

I actually downloaded 7-Zip yesterday to get me through until I can fix this problem and it's working okay. I'd still really like to fix the computer though so it works properly and I can just zip things using the Send To option.

I'm not sure if I didn't explain myself well enough in my original post. I do tend to do that. It used to be that when I'd select a few files and right click and go to Send To something like this would show up: http://media.askvg.com/articles/images3/Send_To_Menu.png

I tried following the instructions on the page where I found that first photo (it says the second method works for all versions of Windows) but the Compressed (zipped) folder option is still listed in the SendTo folder: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/lowiness/its%20there_zpsqxhhju7u.jpg
it's just not showing up when I right click to zip something. I don't know how to make it show back up for me.
