When i play bf1 i get about 120 fps average on medium settings but if i play for like 10 minutes my pc just restarts. I think the problem is the cpu overheating it has 90°C in game. If anyone knows what to do plz reply.

CPU:i7 4790K
GPU: Gigabyte R9 290

Solution

Agree with this. First try replacing the thermal paste. If that does not help, Get a new CPU cooler. The most recommended ones around here are the Cooler Master Hyper 212 and the Cryorig H7
90c is way too high and surpassing the max safe rated temperature of the processor. The PC is shutting off to prevent damage.

Are you overclocking? If so please reset your BIOS to default settings to rule out user changes causing the overheating.

If not:

Check your heatsink to make sure it has not come loose and replace the thermal paste using a high quality thermal compound such as MX-4. (Make sure you clean the old thermal paste off using TIM Clean)

Ty for the quick reply the heatsink is on i have checked. And no i am not overclocking.

As mentioned above, 90C is incredibly hot. I would first recommend ensuring the fan on your CPU cooler is working properly. If so, I would consider replacing the thermal paste on the CPU cooler. If that also does not work, I would try replacing the CPU cooler.

What temperature is your GPU operating at?

The cooler seems fine andy my GPU is at 85-90°C

As MWP0004 said, I also suspect that the CPU fan is faulty or the thermal compound underneath the fan is not doing its job properly.

The final option is to replace the thermal compound and re-seat the heat sink/buy a new aftermarket heatsink.

Your GPU temperature is also on the very high side, but when you have a CPU operating at 90c the whole ambient case temperature rises causing all the other components to heatup drastically. Especially if your case cooling setup is using stock fans.
