Yup they can change color, many insects can. Spiders are famous for it, we have these spiders in my home country whose natural color tends to be a dull brown but if you put them in a rose they'll change within hours to match the color of the rose. It's definitely not fast but very noticable. I used to play with them when I was a kid and noticed it that after taking them out of a certain flower they reverted to brown within hours.
 
hmmmmmm curiouser and curiouser. love it .... and feel compelled to point out that the mantis actually caught the cursor prey on a number of occasions and, had it been live, and not manipulated by a human puppetmaster, the mantis would have feasted. So is the mantis not more intelligent than the human wiggling the cursor under it's nose??????????

I ask you?
 
I love the in-frame Termite and Pest Control offer that pops up from AdWords. Correct by context, sure...but no one is trying to kill the bug in this case. :)
 
Paused my stumbling, but why so serious with such a stupid video. I guess it comes with owning a mac.
