Question Computer Build Help

The tweak I’d make there is trade the 3050 for an rx 6600 or 6600xt. Either one of those would be faster than the 3050, and are closer really to the 3060. Also look at the 6650xt.

If you’ve got a little extra the card that would really be an upgrade would be a 6700xt though. But any of those cards would be better than the 3050.

I'd prefer an nvidia card, but I'll look into those. Are there any nvidia cards that are a better option for the price than the 3050? Thanks.

I know its not the same price but there is real value to be had spending a little bit more like this;

Right now I’m not really recommending nvidia. For example that 3050 would be a great card at 200 maybe. But at a few dollars more for the amd cards you are into 3060 territory and as you see from the poster above, you are into 3060ti/3070 territory with the 6700xt. So are nvidia cards bad? No but prove to performance they could do better. I agree as well check out into the Intel arc a750 and a770. Haven’t tried one but reports are those have come a long ways.

As far as amd vs nvidia, it does seem the last few years that amd drivers have become better in case that’s a concern. But I get it. If you go nvidia I’d try not to go below a 3060 12gb. Avoid the 8gb 3060 as those are kind of cut down on performance.
