Reformatted my computer and my sound working fine. Transported it home rehooked everything up speakers turn on but I don't have any sound and when I go to control panel for sounds and audio devices it says there are none. Help please.

Check the BIOS and make sure the sound is enabled. Also, check for "Unknown Devices" in Device Manager. Finally, remove any PCI cards as these could initially pose a conflict. If all else fails, reset the BIOS defaults. If the sound device is still not seen by Windows, it could be a defective board.
