Crashing isn't a new thing to me, but it's never been this consistent. It's coming getting to a couple times a day, and really worrying me about serious hardware failure. The crashes are usually RAM issues (don't remember any of the actual crash messages) and some are just random, like PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED etc. My ram is second had, but I tried using the Windows Memory Diagnostic, and it reported no issues. My CPU was bought of eBay (i7 3770) but this has been going on since that. If anyone has any information on fixes or any of my hardware, please reply and I will respond ASAP.

Pls check all your hard disks for bad sectors (chkdsk /f /r) as described in this article

Sorry, i'm not too familiar with command prompt, what would I type in?

I think the ram plays a part in the crashes. Ram is pretty expensive at around $100 for 16gigs so new ram might have to wait, but that might not even be the issue.

I sort of figured it out, and it found errors. It also says that "CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode." But I don't know how to change that

go to a cmd prompt and type chkdsk c: /X /F /R

The difference is the /X switch will tell the computer to dis-mount the disk.. it can'T do that while windows is running, so it will ask if you wanna do check disk on next startup. Next time you reboot, say yes to check your c drive.

I get a weird message: "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts?" Not too sure what this means
