computer crash

Almost every time I connect to the net my screen goes blurred and distorts
everything that is on the screen I thought it was simply due to a problem
with connection to the net but today it did the same thing within minutes of
turning the pc on and I had no connection to the net, no connection to mains
or any other connection operating at all. I use AVG and spysweeper but this
has me stumped and frustrated Any advice welcome. Thanks.
Am using Acer Travelmate 281XC Laptop

Check your connection from you monitor to the video card.
It's possible as well that your video card may need to be
reseated. To do that, open your case (power off) pull
out the video card and reseat it back into the slot.

If that doesn't work, try downloading the latest drivers for the video
card from the video card manufacturer's web site.
