[SOLVED] Computer Crashed, Flickering Mouse and Speakers

We were using our computer and it suddenly crashed, but strangely the mouse light flickered, and the speakers made an obnoxiously loud flickering sound. They are both connected via USB to the computer for power. When I turn on power to PSU, the flickering will start up until I turn off the PSU. No other components or internal fans power up. The system felt a little hot when I opened it up.

A bit of background on the system: it's a refurbished system that we've been using for a few years. I recently disassembled it in Korea and reassembled it here in the US. I just installed a brand new PSU (APEVIA ATX-BT650W 650W ATX12V SLI CrossFire Power Supply) a few days ago.

The computer had been working flawlessly, so I was confident I'd properly reassembled it, until today's crash.

I tested the PSU in another system and can confirm that it's kaput. Bummer since it was brand new and seemed like it had good reviews on NewEgg.

Possibly, but it's definitely a hardware issue, not a software one.
