Hey everyone,
I’ve been dealing with random crashes on my PC for a couple months now. The reboots started 2 months or so after I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 1600X to a Ryzen 5 5600X. The system reboots completely—there's no BSOD, just a black screen. However, I still hear audio when the black screen appears. Mainly happens during gaming. marvel rivals especially, but happens in not so intensive titles rarely like Terraria. Other times, it happens when the PC is idle or even after I reboot from the crash, I black screen again after I login or shortly after.
My specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: MSI Ventus 2X RTX 4060
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance
Storage: Samsung SSD + 1 HDD
PSU: Corsair CX750 (Green Label, ~4+ years old)
What I’ve tried so far:
Fresh Windows Install
DDU'd twice (After reinstall)
XMP on and off
Cleaning physical components
Windows power plans (balanced, high performance, ultra performance)
Underclocking GPU in MSI afterburner (-30)
Changing TDR Delay value
Tried Furmark, AIDA and OCCT, crashes don't occur when stressing. However it did happen once after I did the OCCT power test.
Event Viewer shows Kernel 41 but I’ve also been getting a TDR Error 116 (not in event viewer but in the minidumps), VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED (141) in watchdog files and in Blue Screen View it says caused by dxgkrnl.sys by address dxgkrnl.sys+1815ad and at crash address ntoskrnl.exe+4b8460. Observing my voltages when idle and under load (except the time of the crash), they all seem fine and stable.
Most recent dmp files: https://www.mediafire.com/file/vk18k4wwbfpior1/dmp_files.7z/file
I can't pin down what exactly could be causing this and its driving me crazy. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
