While trying to "Invite a friend" for "Remote Assistance" some system
programs crash and shutdown the computer. And, at every restart, it
gives about a minute before it shutdowns automatically... It does it if
we go ask for help from Windows "Help and Support Center" (Start> Help
and Support). It also does it if we are using the latest version of MSN
Messenger and ask for "Remote Assistance": While chatting with someone:
Actions> Request Remote Assistance.
Here are some of the message I was getting at startup after each
startup:
-Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
-SVhost.exe - Application Error: The instruction at "0x752f2ca6"
referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
-This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log
off... Windows must restart because the DCom server process...
I had to use system restore to get back to normal..
Now, I would really like to use this nice remote assistance, but I
can't since it messes up windows. I would like to know what exactly is
causing this.
Any ideas?
