Computer crashes when I play Source Engine Games

Hello, so for a few months now I have been getting problems with any source engine game. Weather it be Garry's mod to Counter-Strike: GO. It's been getting really frustrating because I can play any other game without a hitch except for these games. Every-time I play Garry's mod, I can usually play for 15 minutes or so and then my computer just freezes. It just turns to a gray, or black, or brown screen and repeats the sound over, and over, and over again. If my computer doesn't freeze then Garry's mod will either close without any warning. I literally have tried so many things, and searched the internet and could not find a single solution. I have tried everything from Updating my BIOS, to updating, and rolling back all of my graphics drivers. I'm literally stumped at what it could be. I even reinstalled windows on a fresh new hard-drive, and that didn't fix it either. PLEASE help me, just any suggestion would be incredibly helpful. Thank you all in advance.

Specs: i5-3570k 3.4 Ghz
Nvidia GTX 650 Ti
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
8Gb of DDR3 ram.
1TB WD 7200 hard-drive

check to see if the gpu fan is spining up to cool the gpu. some times with some of the gpu drivers I seen gpu fans stuck at 30 percent and the gpu cooking itself. also look online for a gpu ram tester see if yur gpu has a bad ram. pull your gpu or and try running the game on the onboard gpu see if it locks up.

I will try this, but I won't be able to do it in the immediate future. I'm currently the only person in my house hold that has a desktop.

Do you know any programs that would allow me to test the ram?

Thank you for the links, but I've noticed something different now. I downloaded HWMonitor, and was noticing that my voltage for my CPU is fluctuating incredibly. The minimum voltage is 0.876 max is 1.161 and it's coming damn near close to 1.161 and then goes all the way back down under 0.876. Even while idling it does this. Maybe this could be the problem? If so how would I stable out the voltage, and not make it fluctuate?

It'll be 0.876 on idle and 1.161 when busy. That's normal.

I ran the memtest for my gpu, and 0 errors where found. Seems that the fans are spinning fine, and the temps are perfectly fine. Any other ideas?

Download and run HWInfo - Sensors and post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar.

It'll give us a lot of info on your pc's health

cpu running OK Fan on 4000rpm - turn down to 1000rpm
psu - voltages ok (no 5v reported though)
gpu - OK

And memtest was OK

Run Checkdisk

Do a Virus Scan

Update your graphics card driver.

cpu running OK Fan on 4000rpm - turn down to 1000rpm
psu - voltages ok (no 5v reported though)
gpu - OK

And memtest was OK

Run Checkdisk

What OS you got?

Windows 8.1, also I just installed a new hard-drive, and it was also doing this on my old hard-drive, and OS which was windows 7 Home Premium. Also, already updated graphics driver, and also rolledback graphics driver.
