Hi there,
So my rig has been crashing while gaming the last few days. The most recent crash has me quite concerned. I was playing the Witcher when the screen went black and the red light next to the bottom left of my ram slots came on. I tried pressing the restart button, but it was non-functional. I then held the power button down for the recommended 10 seconds, yet nothing happened so I pulled the plug. It then rebooted as if nothing had happened. Any ideas of what I should check?

Parts List:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 (Around 6 years old)
GPU: EVGA gtx 980 4GB (Around 3 years old)
MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 (Around 4 years old)
Memory: Ripjaw 32 GB DDR3 (Around 3 years old)
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer MkIII 750 Watt Gold Plus (Around 6 years old)

That means that there is a problem with your RAM. Try the following out.
Try the "MemOK! button", also the "Clear CMOS jumper".
If that doesn't work make sure that your RAM sticks are in the right slots (2 and 4) if you have 2 sticks of RAM.
If that also doesn't work try taking out one stick and attempting to boot and then the other, to determine if you have a faulty stick.
If that doesn't work reinstall your chipset drivers here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Window...
I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any.

Hey guys thanks for responding! After cleaning my PSU and swapping a couple parts with spares I found that the main mother board and power supply connection is faulty. the slightest vibrations can trip a reset as power is lost momentarily. I must have loosened the female connections from one to many unplugging jiggles. The cord is not modular, but is there a new header I can buy so that I don't have to replace the PSU completely? Thanks for the interest.
