my pc freezes a lot but becomes fine after changing RAM slot whats the problem. the problem begun after installing win 8.1. a high noise also comes from the case

Solution
Its difficult to pinpoint the problem without testing the whole system part by part so open the case and check exactly from where the noise is coming its surely coming from any movable part like fans, HDD, GPU fans , processor fans or the PSU if you think its the HDD then scan the HDD for bad sectors and defragment the disk also see if you are getting the problems in safe mode if not then it may be a software issue in that case a formatting the primary drive and reinstalling the windows along with other updated drivers may help.
nope i have one one single 2 gb ddr3 ran 1333 mhz .
when my comp slows down and freezes and bsod come .after changing the ram slot It becomes just fine .
and after this the performance is also quite impressive. And I also want to know about the noise that comes.

When you lack enough RAM to handle the tasks you're performing on the Internet, your hard drive may kick into gear and cause a humming sound; this happens particularly when you're uploading or downloading files. Adding more RAM or closing unnecessary programs and processes while you're online can solve the problem.

Any other explanation would be bad ram or dying board.

Do a memtest for overnight and see if you get any errors.

I did that mem test it made the computer hell. it was not even booting or took afar long time and as soon as it does the hum high pitch noise came then it hangs. when then. i changed the ram from one slot to another it was again fine.

Ya one thing also I want to make you note that this prob was not comming in win 7.
I want to know if this is a hardware or a sofware problem. is there some problem in hard drive?

from where that noise comes?after which my computer hangs
