Computer goes into a blackout

Hello,
Today while I was playing a game my monitor suddenly showed the message that appears when it doesn't detect a device, I tried another cable but i still had the same problem. Plus i was on TeamSpeak at that time and i disconnected at that moment. The computer itself was running, the lights were on and the fans were turning.
Any idea what might be causing this?

Just take a casual look at connector(vga or whatever type you are using) pins on the monitor and also on the motherboard. If they are all good then unfortunately your motherboard has some problem.
