Hello, Im trying to oc my r5 3600.

I have managed to get it to 4.2ghz @ 1.3v before but from nowhere it became unstable. So i restarted the whole process.

I have 1.325v in bios but according to ryzen master it delivers 1.275 which causes a crash. So i have to manually put in the voltage i want to use in ryzen master but i want to only change in bios.

Mobo: msi b450 tomahawk max
Ryzen 5 3600

Thanks for any help!

Hey there,

Please list your full PC specs. You are much better off ditching Ryzen Master, and solely using the bios to OC.

You can use a vcore offset to reduce the voltage, or by using CO in the bios along with PBO. This actually gives the best results. Remember to test your system for stability after each change you make. Wash, rinse, repeat, until you get your desired speed.

Id also download Hwinfo, and run it to check the vcore there. It will work from the sensor. I seem to recall there being an issue with RM where it didn't report the right voltages.

Hello

I have
R5 3600
Msi b450 tomahawk max
Corsar vengence pro 3600mhz
Tuf rtx 3080 oc

Im using bios to configure my settings. I use 1.325v and 42x multiplier. I also have PBO so I get PPT, EDC and TCD limits and LLC mode 5.

RM reports only 1.275v when i set the bios to 1.325 but reports 1.325v when i change in RM.
The guide you showed me gives me the same results as mine with 42x and PBO limits.

With offset mode i also get weird voltages and tbh i dont know how much offset to use.

If you dont notice im new to this 😀 Want to get the most performance out of my r5 3600 until i get the money for an upgrade to AM5.

how high is it under load?

it´s the way hwinfo and RM is reading the values
Its ≈4.1-4.2ghz and ≈1.319v

So my oc might be correct, its just rm displaying wrong? If that is the case, its weird that it crashed when rm said 1.275v and when I got it to 1.325v in rm it worked. Need to test it better tomorrow.
