i’ve tried two different hard drives and two different windows 10 discs brand new on an older computer with no windows installed. it’s a bit older and had a corrupt hard drive before and now i can’t install a new windows on to a new hard drive with this computer. i don’t know why it won’t work, because it says to insert media and press any key but when i do that and put the disc in and it spins for a few seconds and then the light flashes on the disc tray and it stops spinning and says to insert media again. keep in mind i’ve tried two different windows discs and two hard drives so idk what’s wrong, i’ve made sure that the disc tray is boot priority and then hard drive second. i’ve tried the other way around and it still didn’t work. can someone help me figure this out so that i can get my windows installed, i’m not sure why it’s not working because i have also tested it on my newer computer with no luck and have tried different cables. is there a setting in bios i need to change for the hard drive to be detected or able to be used with my windows disc? i noticed it doesn’t actually get detected on my new computer but it does on my old or maybe i’m just confused. i just need help, anything is appreciated, thanks.
