Hey there my PC has had a bad issue of randomly crashing while playing games or occasionally it does crash while watching Youtube or using google maps.

The PC will randomly lock up and occasionally hang on a sound making quite a loud burring noise. Usually black screen, no BSOD message.

Not quite sure what to provide other than my PC specs

CPU: AMD Phenom 840 X4
GPU Sapphire 6850
PSU coolermaster 550W
Mobo: GA-MA78LMT-S2
RAM 4GB kinston
Windows 7 64 bit ultimate

Also i have a Event ID 6008 in eventviewer

Cheers and thanks for the help

I said - in bios/uefi. Same as you should be checking your cpu temp.

LoL won't stress your cpu much. 60C is too high. Blow out your case to get rid of built up dust - especially fans, coolers and filters. Up your cpu fan rpm. Get rid of any overclocks.

Give us your voltages

This is my PSU i dont know where i find my voltages sorry :S

Also what is this BIOS/uefi you speak of|?

Ok installing it now, i have had a couple of crashes since i last posted and have found one reoccuring trend.

Right before it crashes like 10 secs or so beforehand in eventviewer it has logged

This has happened everytime before it crashes under the system part of event viewer

Anyways i will run this BIOS program now and let you know the reuslts

Edit: After installing Easy Tuner 6 and restarting my computer would constantly bluescreen on reboot.

I am now im safe mode trying to uninstall it so that i can start my PC normally.

How hot is the cpu getting - from bios/uefi?

What voltage is the psu giving out for 12v, 5v and 3.3 v - from bios/uefi?

Check all your devices are working OK and have up to date drivers in Control Panel, Device Manager

Do a Checkdisk with repair on your OS drive.

Scan your OS drive for viruses eg with Avast and Malwarebytes

I cant check at sorry this Easy Tuner 6 is Crashing my computer on restart and i get Open driver hadnle error messages when i try to open it in safe mode and i am unable to uninstall it. My computer has gotten worse since i installed it.

EDIT: i fixed it by reverting to a system restore thank god.

I am going to use another program to find my volatges and stuff

Ok Ok ok ok ok ok i have gotten some progress going here. Turns out i was really stupid and installed the wrong version of easy tune for my system and got the wrong sockets.

Now i have the right sockets and the right easy tune to go with it.

Soo i have easy tune 6 open here and i have some voltage number i dont know if they are the right ones i am gunna restart and check my BIOS for any more numbers of voltages.

Anyways currently i ahve easytune here and it says the looks like this

(hopefully you are allowed to open puush links its just a screencap)

I will post again once i have looked at my BIOS

System and CPU are at 38 idle came down from around 50 after playing a lengthy game of league.

Those two unknown values are from my BIOS they were the two numbers above the 12.10 and 3.408 under one of the menus

I went and bought some compressed air today and blew out my case it was already sorted out but i got a bit of dust out.

Yep still crashes again in event viewer it has this filter manager popping up before it crashes. Mostly it happens when i am playing league...

What sort of things can i give you so you can maybe check on your end what might be causing the error?

So far only event viewer has provided consistent workings of a problem and that is this filter manager occuring just before a kernal power shutdown

Ill run these tests tommorow while im at tech.

Its been happening for a long time now really. I had reformatted my PC to try and solve it but it has not really fixed it although after i HAD reformatted the crashing was restricted to opnly one type which is the one i have now

Another interesting bit of knowledge i know now for sure is that eventually the PC actually rests itsself after a while and i can log into my computer but i cannot see anything.

I am guessing we are looking at Vidoe card driver or hardware issue?

Also it does happen quite alot but mainly when i play league that being said i do play league alot and it has crashed on various other games the time its had this problem.

ANother thing i want to try is removing my video card drivers and only installing the base drivers as some people have said they have had blue screen issues with AMDOverdrive and i so see it one vent viewer but again here is the event viewer log that is consistent for every crash that occurs
