Computer is hard locking when gaming.

Hey all. Title says it all. I recently formatted my SSD to make sure it wasn't an issue with the OS. Last night, I was gaming and streaming using OBS and my computer kept hard locking.

System Specs:
CPU: R7 1700X overclocked to 4Ghz
GPU: EVGA 980ti FTW
Mobo: Aorus AX370 Gaming K7
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 (running at 2133 I bought the intel version by mistake)
Cooler: Kraken X62 AIO

Now... I noticed that the issue specifically happens when I'm streaming. I monitored my temps using CAM and was under 66C. However, I was maxing out the CPU. I've maxed other CPUs without any issue, so I didn't think anything of it. I changed the CPU Usage Preset from fast back to veryfast and my computer stopped locking up.

This is not normal behavior, or at least, not that I've ever seen. Am I literally overloading the card and that's what's causing the hard lock? Do I have a faulty CPU? Is it possible that the RAM or Motherboard are the culprits? I can post screenshots of everything I'm using and am happy to provide more information.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Yep, it's your overclock that's not stable. I have a 1700 myself overclocked to 4GHz, it's 100% stable in my daily use of gaming, web browsing and running VMs but on specific heavy load applications like OBS encoding it will crash eventually.
You'll either need to dial down your clocks or raise voltage.

So... @Finstar When I set the overclock, I ran Prime 95 for 24 hours and didn't get a crash. Are you saying that it's SPECIFICALLY video encoding that might be causing it? EDIT: What voltage are you running at right now?

@norcalsc can you specifically explain why you think the RAM is the issue? Sure, it's not optimized for AM4 processors, but it should only, in theory, prevent me from bumping the RAM clock speeds (and it does. I crash above 2800Mhz)

@scout_03 I'm sorry bro, but you're going to have to type in English. I just don't understand what any of that said. Sorry.

Okay. So I ended up raising my vcore voltage to 1.44v. CPU clock speed is back at 4Ghz and RAM speed is 3000Mhz (3200 still blue screens). I haven't tried streaming yet. I'll mark this complete and post if I have any more issues. Thanks for all of your help guys!
