Question Computer is stuck in black screen when GPU is plugged in

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here, and long time without posting on forums in general, so

I bought this "new", refurbished PC a couple of days ago, I'll share the specs right here: https://postimg.cc/gallery/fZFzj8j

The GPU in question is a Radeon R5 430 2Gb Low Profile. If needed I can provide with a pic of the GPU but it doesn't seem to have any physical damage from the shipping.

I've been using the system for a couple of days now and, so far, it works just perfectly, nothing that stands out to my eye, I've done a lot of software-related stuff by myself before.

The problem is that, well, the first day it arrived, I plugged all the cables in, press the power button and... nothing shows up on screen. I was thinking it was a problem with the monitor because the fans were spinning, the "power" light was on and even the little light that blinks when the disk is in use was on as well, so I tried with a different monitor, using a VGA cable for the integrated graphics instead of the DVI the GPU uses, but no matter what, the screen was pure black, I wasn't even able to enter the BIOS (I gotta mention tho, I don't know if it was coincidence or just me being a bit paranoid, but in one of the boot attempts, I was pressing different F buttons to see if I could reach the BIOS, and the fans suddenly started being more silent, compared to before when I could perfectly hear them going). I could've sworn the GPU was also working since I heard its fan working as well, I'll double check that later just in case.

After unplugging it carefully, I tried booting and it worked without any casualties.

The only thing I saw, that could be weird but I'm not sure, is that when I unplugged it, there was a little cable around where the GPU was, I don't know exactly what it is for, but it says "P4" on one of its connector's sides, this cable was unplugged, I couldn't find any pins that looked like it was supposed to be plugged in (and I didn't wanna fry my motherboard by mistake), it's kinda like a separation from another, bigger, cable.

I contacted with the seller and they even sent a video where the same pc with the same graphics card was tested and it worked just fine.

Is there anything I could do about it?

(Also excuse me for any mistakes, I'm open to any suggestions)

Could you please provide with the actual full specs if you could btw? Like PSU too? I'm convinced it's power cuz of a few reasons. Not to mention these specs seem WAAAY outdated to my eyes lust sayin. P4? Never heard that before unless I'm more of a visual person . . . could be just me . . . but uhhh . . . whatever Windows your running will determine what key or keys you'd need to press without defaulting your fans cuz you probably hit the default fan curve F key or something. Or it's that the BIOS detected it and adjusted on it's own. Btw an R5 430 LP sounds like it wouldn't work in this system; should've said that from the start. Even if it does; seems like it's powering on fine but doesn't have even power to feed a to the display is all I'm getting at . . . Btw if your gonna use the IG be sure to 'yeah' unplug the GPU from the system . . . also again sorry I think that P4 is a power port or something that goes into the fan header of it or . . . idk maybe a pic of it or the brand would help out........................foods for thoughts..........................

For sure, I'll send more details later since I'm currently working, tho I asked the seller if this GPU could work on the system and he told me yes, actually it seems this CPU (and even more the i5-4570) + GPU was a common combo some years ago. Yes, it's not modern hardware by any means, where I live it's really difficult to find good stuff, and even harder to afford them, I just wanted this pc for playing some low/mid-end games. I don't know if the cable itself is called "P4", I said it just has a "P4" printed in one of its sides, I don't know what it's for since it's pretty much my first time working with a computer's hardware this much.

Fair enough said. You'll come around to this stuff in a few months or years to come. But with that said: Welcome to Hardware Troubleshooting..................
Thanks, I've liked hardware and software-related things for quite a while, but never got a chance to buy myself a pc that wasn't 40 years old, this is my first one. Also, are there any recommended GPUs for a system like this?

Ooooooooooooooooooof well . . . actually as I see here your best options from my perspective would be from Red Team to Green Team would be the:
  • RX 590 Nitro+ Special Edition: a good value GPU that comes with two free games, but may consume more power and generate more heat.
  • GTX 970 or 980: powerful GPUs that would not bottleneck the CPU, but may be hard to find or outdated.
  • GTX 1660 XC Black Gaming: a solid 1080p gaming GPU that comes with a free Fortnite bundle, but may not support ray tracing or DLSS.
  • & The RTX 2060 is the best possible GPU for i5-4690 in 2023, but also the most expensive one of the list. If any of these don't suit your budget I'd say go for a GTX 1070 Ti as it's of the middle ground basis that isn't one of those 16 Series junk cards yet it's got enough juice to keep you going IMO....................

Okay last update, I got it to work!! After cleaning up the pins didn't change anything, I kept looking a bit inside the case, searching on google anything I saw, and ended up in a page from DELL that talked about resetting the BIOS or something like that, all I had to do was, plug in the GPU again, hold down the Power button for 30 seconds, turn it on after that and bam! I'm just finishing updating drivers but the card is now working and properly recognized by the system. Thank you either way for your help, I'm infinitely grateful.
