Already made a post like this not even 3 hours ago, but accidentally selected an answer, so here's to round 2. Computer parts are as follows; i5-4690k, gtx 970, 16 gb of ram and thats all that really matters I believe. Games like DS3, Skyrim remastered, and Rainbow 6 seige (siege specifically) drop frames and are in general bad frame wise despite my specs being recommended. In rainbow 6 siege, I used to have like 80-100+ frames, but now have 57 and maybe lower depending on some things. Factory reset, redownloaded the drivers, and checked for malware, but nothing changed. Any part upgrade recommendation, help in general, would be appreciated, sorry if I respond sorta late, and thanks in advance if I personally forget to do so!

your setup is plenty enough powerfull ..you can not have all the times 80-100 fps depending of frame area you are in the game

if you meet fps droping issues all times , your gpu card can be faulty or psu not good or maybe ram issues???
since i do not know more on your specs ...i can not help you more

V-sync isnt on, and I'll try the "application controlled" settings

PSU is an EVGA bronze edition (750 watts), as for gpu and ram problems, is there any way to check/monitor any issue along those lines?

Did you update any drivers just before experiencing these issues? I had issues liek yours with FPS drops, where i just updated geforce experience. Try rolling back to previous drivers, worked for me but not sure, good luck fixing your computer!

Think I've done it before, little change, but I'll give it another shot, thanks for the advice!
