Hi all,

I have had my Q6600 running at 3.0GHz for a while now and for all I know it is stable. I have run many tests using prime 95 (some for about 12 hours) and it has passed them all. However recently my computer has been randomly restarting for no reason and I cant for the life of me think what could be up with it. Not sure it has anything to do with the overclock, so this might not be the right section to right this in.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, the rest of my specs are in my sig.

Thanks in advance.

Try running it at stock speed and see if it reboots on you. I would run memtest and prime95 again to see what happens.

edit...

Check the power supply with a voltage meter as well, I have seen failing power supplies exhibit that behavior.
