There is a huge lot of posts on this site detailing the same problem, however, I cannot seem to get any of the solutions to work.
My current build:
- i7-7700k (No O.C)
- 8GB DDR4 Corsair 2400MHz
- GTX 960 4GB (Zotac)
- B150M PRO GAMING Mobo
- 750W PSU
The mouse I use is a DeathAdder Chroma, but it's not the mouse (hardware wise) as I've tested my old mouse and the same problems persist. This does not just happen during gaming, it also applies to explorer or apps like Spotify, where the highlighting of the options when hovered over is clearly delayed, and the scrolling timestamp down the bottom does not progress when the mouse is moving.
This is no fun, as I have photography work to do and it's not fun having to wait for the system to catch up.
I must mention that twice during different attempts at fixes, the computer has completely frozen and had to be reset.
I have tried the following:
- Resetting the BIOS options
- Different mouse
- Uninstalling Synapse
- Reinstalling Synapse
- Uninstalling Mouse Drivers
- Updating all drivers possible
- Uninstalling possible software that could effect it
- A virus scan (w/ AVG, clean)
I'm not sure what else to try. It would be nice to know why I can't use my mouse anymore.
The problem seemed to start suddenly when I was playing Rocket League, and then the game froze. Upon restarting my PC, Discord's audio, yet no other audio, has become distorted whenever the mouse is moved. It's really frustrating.
