Computer locking up while playing BFBC2

I'm looking for some help. Yesterday I started experiencing a problem where my computer would lock up while playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (BFBC2). This doesn't happen while playing anything else like WoW, League of Legends and Starcraft 2. I run everything on max settings including BFBC2 and haven't ever experienced this problem before on BFBC2 (I've owned it about 3 weeks). The only thing that I can think would've made any difference yesterday is that I was inside my computer cleaning dust out of the filters and fans and whatnot and might've done something then? My temps on my processor and video card seem to be fine unless the reported temps are wrong.

System Specs:
Intel i5-2500k OC'ed to 4.5GHz
HIS Radeon HD 6950 2GB
12GB G.Skill 1600Mhz Ripjaws
System Drive: 64GB Crucial RealSSD
Storage Drive: Samsung HD103SJ
Power Supply: Cooler Master GX 750W

At 4.5 Ghz, your system might be right on the edge of stability. Try reducing the OC to 4.3 Ghz and see if that doesn't resolve your problem.

Well, it was actually a problem with the game itself. I guess it actually is a problem with MSI Afterburner.

The problem will occur with ANY gpu monitoring software active while playing BFBC2, including amd's catalyst overdrive.
