Computer noob needs help

I got a new HD monitor thats 1920 x 1080 but my graphics card cant handle it very well and i get like 20 frames in game.
So now imm looking for a new graphics card so i can get good frames again! only problem is im a noob to making computers and i dont know what to look for.
So could any of you help me out?
My motherboard is
Gigabyte B85M-Gaming 3

And my current graphics card is Nvidia 750 TI (GM107 if that means anything)

My budget is under 300NZD or Under 220 USD <3 thanks in advance

Can you list out the rest of your system specs? It will help (especially the make and model of the PSU).

In the interim, you can always turn down your in-game resolution to get better frame rates until the GPU upgrade....

CPU: Intel 15 4590 @3.30GHz
Mainboard: Gigabyte B85M-Gaming 3
Graphics type GDDR5 (what ever that means)
PSU: if you mean like my watt suply box i have a 500w
Make-model not sure what you mean
RAM: 8gb ddr3

If you can find an RX 470 in your area in that budget, that would be wonderful. If not, then it looks like the GTX 1050ti would be the next best choice.
