Computer not recognizing all of my ram

Im having an issue I upgraded my computer to windows 7 home premium 64bit
my computer was recognizing all 4gbs at first but i blue screened awhile ago and i had to reinstall the OS
but now my computer is only recognizing 3/4gbs i have.....there are 2 sticks of 2gbs installed if someone has some insight on how to help it would be greatly appreciated

1. How many 'partitions' do you have? Did you recently add a partition?
2. Exact part-number of RAM and/or link - use CPUz to identify {SPD -tab} http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
3. Load Optimized/Defaults and/or Clear CMOS
4. Did you purchase the RAM or was it installed by Gateway?
5. How much RAM is being shared by the ATI Radeon hybrid graphics?
6. Verify the following:

1. I recently added a partition on to main hard drive
2. the manufacturer of the ram is Hyundai Electronics part number for the ram is HYMP125U64CP8-Y5
3. not to sure about #4 what u mean but from the picture ...in msconfig i have number of processors check and thats 4
and maximum memory checked also and that says 4096
4. The ram was installed by gateways
5. I forgot to mention i have installed a separate graphics card nvidia 9600gt card installed
6. in resource monitor it says here is 1025mb in hardware reserve so that is where that extra memory is but i dont know how I went about reserving that memory

The problem more than likely is that the on-board ATI Radeon hybrid is sucking {reserving} most of the missing 1GB; it does NOT have dedicated RAM for it 'borrows' RAM from your system's memory. It does NOT matter if you have a dedicated GPU.

I am NOT familiar with your BIOS and I ass-u-me there is some way to disable the on-board graphics in the BIOS -> you can also TRY disable the ATI Radeon in the Device Manager select the ATI Radeon | right-click and selecting 'Disable' then reboot; but the Device Manager option may or may not release the RAM, the BIOS option does release the RAM.

Also, partitions can also pull from your RAM; it is a proven issue.

Here is a silly question, when you re-installed the OS, did you select the 32 bit version by any chance? I don't know how the OS disk you have installes, but I have seen restore disks that give you an option of either 64 or 32 bit, you could have selected 32 bit during the re-installation.

I figured out the problem it was because i had checked in msconfig the max memory once i unchecked that and restarted my computer the ram came out of limbo
