Computer not working! Help

So I recently was doing a simple fan placement while my computer was on. (I am stupid) All of the sudden when the mouse stopped working, then the screen was white. I restarted it, then allI get is one really long beep. I think I shorted the mobo, but Im not sure. Help apprecieated. Thanks.

NEVER, EVER, work on a running machine....or even plugged in. But I guess you know that already. Run a Yahoo! ( or your preferred search engine ) search for "POST error codes" it should give you an idea on what's wrong there's too many to list them here, and there is also different codes for different BIOS.

Try clearing the BIOS, then boot. Wish you luck.

All fixed. I have a Gigabyte m55sli. Whenever I put a fan into the expandable molex slot, it beeps like mad. Not sure why, but thanks for the help guys. The post bios helped to.
