Computer Problem

So i have quite the interesting problem.

My computer will freeze and blue screen whenever it is left idle for 20 minutes, or when im doing heavy multi tasking. but never when playing games or doing a single intensive process. I then installed linux on the machine and EVERYTHING worked wonderfully. Problem is, i am the only one in my family that can use linux so Windows is the way to go.
My specs are
E6600 2.4GHZ Core 2 Duo Processor
WD 160 GB HDD
2x1GB Corsair DDR2 Ram
2x1GB Kingston DDR2 Ram
Bluegears Sound Card
Nvidia 8500 graphics card
750 watt Corsair PSU
Biostar Motherboard
Liteon Optical Drive

This didnt start happening until i put windows 7 on it, but i reformatted the HDD and tried XP and Vista... 64 bit and 32 Bit,(i belong to the msdn so it was legit) I am so lost please help.

I guess a driver could be misbehaving. Check the event viewer and look for things that may be logged when it blue screens. That could give you a few clues.

whats the error code when it blue screens?

I dont know. it doesnt blue screen every time. Most of the time it just locks up and then windows crashes... when i get more info ill post it. I am gonna check all the drivers when i get home

but when it blue screens it should give u a hex code like 0x0000000a.
