Hello I'm new to this forum and have been asking everywhere and hoping this would be the place that could solve my problem. So recently I went on my computer and went to recovery options to reset my computer to factory settings, then I clicked on the button confirming to do so. I went to go to get something for 5 minutes and my computer screen was black. So I'm thinking this is normal and but then I waited another 10 minutes and turned off my computer because i was worried it has froze. But still the same thing! It's pure black, and the only thing I can do is CTRL-ALT-DEL all that does is bring up a mouse cursor included with the black screen. Now other people have been saying "you erased everything from your computer that's why" and that's false cause I reset my computer to factory settings with Windows on it. So I tried multiple things to fix it, like seeing if VGA IS plugged tightly or HDMI, and attempting to go the BIOS, but my computer doesn't show the BIOS screen because it's more of a new computer and it doesn't show boot up at all since all of this happened. so is this normal, is this an update in he background? If so how long? I don't think an update should have a black screen, does anyone know how to fix this? Please Skype originaloukus to help me out.

Solution
carefully disconnect the battery from it's socket, let sit for a few minutes, re-insert the battery back into it's socket, plug the main power cord back into computer & turn on the computer.

Yes now it's no longer working. I removed ram and replaced it back to its original place and now only the computer and fans power on. I thought it was cause the ram was damaged but i had new extra ram I inserted in the correct spot and that one didn't work either. Could it be power supply? CPU? motherboard ?

I'm sorry is this a guaranteed work? Because I don't want to harm my computer. And Did you read about me asking if it's my motherboard, CPU, or PSU? Can you explain why to remove the battery please ?
