Hello, I must have done something because I turned on my gateway computer,
logged in and the page with icons of software and folders (with start button
in lower left corner) (whatever this screen is called) is turned around
totally or tilted. In other words the page tilted to the right and the start
button is now in the lower right corner. I don't know how to fix this. I have
to turn my head to read text on the screen now. Someone please help me.

I don't know if I made sense. Its just that right after I turn my computer
on, login, and go to the desktop page the content on the screen has been
turned to the right once and i have to tilt my head to read the screen. I
also said the green start button was now position in the right corner and
that makes the button vertical and on top of it is the blue bar (which
consists of all the icons of the programs running). I just need help in
knowing how to position everything on the screen to the default/correct
viewing position.

Hello. I had a similar problem before, except my screen was totally upside
down. lol This is how I fixed it.
Press Ctrl, Alt and the upper arrow key at the same time. Then my monitor
went off for a minute and come back on correctly. I don't know if this will
help you or not as yours is just tilted to the right. But you might want to
give it a shot and maybe try one of the other arrow keys instead of the up
one. Hope this helped. :)

Sorry, but it took me a while to think of the word to describe my problem. I
think I got it.... the desktop screen along with whatever is displayed on my
monitor has rotated to the right one time and I need help fixing that. I hope
this makes sense. I desperately need help with this.

I am new to this site and I just noticed the search. I searched with the word
rotate and found I wasn't the only one with this problem. I read a post by
Carey Frisch. I followed the instructions and it worked! Thank you for all
the help everyone. I am so glad mine didn't turn up upside down. I wouldn't
be able to head anything unless I do a headstand, LOL!

I meant "I wouldn't be able to read anything unless I do a headstand, LOL!" I
did search around and found out I use Intel(R) Graphics Media, which I
believe came with the computer.

Yes. Usuallu it's a combination of keys and depends on each graphic card.

This is a feature of video drivers not XP. Though it seems they all do it now. Poke around in Display - Settings - Advanced or post your video card manufacturer and someone with that card will tell you where the setting is.

I am having the same exact problem. I have called Gateway to see how I can fix this and they were not very friendly about it. My screen looks like I am typing up a hill. HELP..lol...please....

I use to have a tily feature on my monitor menu and even that feature is gone.
