CPU - 3.7GHz (3.9GHz Turbo Speed) Super Fast AMD A4-6300 Dual 2-Core APU/CPU Processor
RAM - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz High Speed RAM Memory
HARD DRIVE - 2000GB (2TB) Hard Drive Storage Space

MOTHERBOARD - FM2+ Motherboard & Drivers
CASE - CIT F3 Blue Gaming Case
PSU - 85+ Rated PSU Power Supply
OPERATING SYSTEM - No Operating System Included (You Will Need Your Own or Upgrade)Windows 10

Is this spec good enough?

That system is not in any way suitable for gaming. Processor is weak, as are the integrated graphics. Your cheapest upgrade option, for just fortnite would be this upgrade. Jaztwocents proved that a 2400g's integrated graphics could handle fortnite, and the GT 1030 is roughly the same performance, if not slightly better. The stock cooler, from my understanding, kinda sucks for the 860k. A bios update may be necessary, for the motherboard, as well.

Does he get any error message when trying to start the game etc?

While that's hardly a powerhouse of a system, the minimum spec is a 1st Gen i3 and onboard Intel HD4000 to at least run.

Unfortunately, the dual-core nature of the A4 is likely going to limit him more than anything else, although the GPU isn't great.

I've seen people running it on an A4 paired with cards like R7 250's etc -- 720p, low settings and still only getting ~20FPS.... so the dual-core will be crippling the performance.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't at least start up though.

^^Agreed on the "cheapest" viable upgrade.

I'd give the alternative of jumping to a 2400G is at all possibly.
About 50% more than the 860K option.... but should be viable for much longer.
