Question Computer stuck on boot loop need help.

I have been experiencing issues tonight with my Windows 11 operating system.

Earlier today I had experienced an issue trying to open Firefox browser on my system, also couldn’t access steam. I noticed my desktop was sluggish and laggy. As I thought this was a one-off issue, I thought rebooting the computer would solve the problem.

When I rebooted the computer the screen was stuck on "restarting". I waited at least 10 minutes before pressing the power button to force the computer off. Now, I am unable to boot Windows 11 successfully. I am stuck on the motherboard brand logo loading screen, or when I turn the computer on and off multiple times to try to enter Automatic Repair mode, I can see the words with the same motherboard brand logo but nothing else happens it just loops with a loading icon forever.

I also tried to load a recovery USB drive, but once again this results in my getting a black screen. When I enter the BIOS, my boot order is out of whack, my OS drive is no longer visible in the boot order and I cannot change it to that drive, it was switch to my old boot drive that no longer had the windows OS on it, I took that drive out, but I still cannot boot to the usb recovery. The current OS drive is still plugged in on the motherboard. (m.2 nvme)

From what I have experienced I am sure that there is a software glitch somewhere. The problem is that I cannot get to the screen that should allow me to do a startup repair, system restore, safe mode bootup, etc.

If it helps, I did install an update for my AMD GPU a day before this happened (23.7.2) But I am not sure if this may be causing the specific issue.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

It was the drive failing. There is a way to get into Advanced Boot Options but idk what Mobo you use. You said you were able to get into it before but went to the BIOS straight away. Either pressing F8 or whatever would get you into it. Worth the shot

You ever tried removing a RAM stick and seeing if it'll post? Swapping in and out parts will maybe force a boot to occur and you'll get into the BIOS. Also, that time when you said your boot orders were out of whack should've clued you in to it. Had this issue before; all I did was figure out which F button to press to get Boot Menu and switch out the orders to the newer or Boot Drives or Safe Mode. Food for thought agane

I still have access to the bios I must’ve forgot to write that, but when I try to boot into a recovery usb/windows 11 instal media usb it just doesn’t and I assume it’s probably because the failed drive is still plugged in on the m.2 slot

You can still direct that USB recovery as your main boot to make it work or just get a separate USB and put a Windows Installation Media Boot Sector on it and reinstall Windows. Shouldn't be hard.....................
