I recently swapped my cpu cooler and while doing that I bent a cpu pin. I was able to fix it and put it back in the socket but after that the computer won’t work. All my case fans and cpu cooler turn on, but the USB ports on my motherboard are not working. Is this a dead cpu or another issue. I am using a ryzen cpu. The motherboard orange light is on. Also, you can turn the pc in via the front panel button but not off.

Any tips??
I have already made sure all my connections are tight and the cpu is in the socket.

Solution
I would say it sounds like the pin might've broken off upon the reinsertion.

I recommend the R5 1600 AF as it's not too much more expensive than R3 1200 and the performance will be a bit better.

What CPU did you have?
What CPU did you replace it with?
What motherboard do you have?

Also if this is a Ryzen did you make sure the BIOS on your motherboard is compatible with he new CPU?
I have the ryzen 3 1200.
I did not change my cpu just cooler.
My mobo is the b450m ds3h by gigabyte.
I know the bios is compatible because it worked for months before with no issues
