Can you hear the drive spinning up? I'd advise you to check the boot priority in the BIOS settings and make sure it is properly configured to boot from the WD Black. I'd also
check the connections to the HDD and even re-seat them just to be sure that it's mounted correctly.
I'd also make sure you have the latest SATA controller and chipset drivers for your motherboard from the manufacturer's official website or the Drivers pack CD that came with it.
If none of these work, you should also try
resetting BIOS and connecting the WD Black to a different computer and monitor its behavior there.
