Hi all! My problem is this. When i push power, everything turns on, for half a second, then turns off. When I push the power again notinging happens. I can "reset" it by pullong the plug, and puting it back in.

When the power is not on, everything seems fine. the motherboard and powersupply standby lights are on.

I have tryed

Pulling out everything not needed (video card, IDE drives, ect)

Reseating memory (not in a diffrent slot though, but i don't thik thats the problem)

Anf totaly taking everything out, just running the mobo, PSU, CPU, on a table.

That's it, anything I'm missing here?

I think it might be the PSU, should i RMA?

I have a

Abit IS7
P4 2.4c
Powmax deamon 580
1x512 corsair xms PC2700

sounds like the psu, i just had the same thing happen in one of my systems....power supply could not deliver enough juice to run it, fans turned over a couple times and then i had to unplug the psu and reset it, then same thing happened again, new psu, and no more problem! fired right up

The motherboard might be short to the ground (touching its case's chassis). Remove it from the case and test it (with minimum components like CPU, video card and RAM).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

He said he already tried running the mobo, CPU and PSU out of the case on a table.

I agree, sounds like a PSU issue.
