Hello,
I recently upgraded my CPU, motherboard and ram after having the same issue described above... I have tested the power supply and it currently works. All fans and drives are spinning however nothing is appearing on the monitor. I have tried both the integrated graphics and my gpu and neither have worked... I'm in need of a solution thanks in advance

What motherboard, CPU and RAM did you buy? Have you checked compatibility? Some older Skylake motherboards may need their BIOS flashing to support a Kabylake CPU, if you bought a Ryzen CPU they can be quite particular about the RAM they actually work with.

Sorry, what is the exact model number of your motherboard? The B85m is an Intel chipset do you mean B350? You say that the memory is Ryzen compatible but is it actually listed on the memory compatibility list for your motherboard? Finally, is it a 2*8gb memory kit or a single stick? When a system I am building fails to pass POST I normally start by disconnecting everything that isn't needed to get a display.

Basically you should get a display with CPU+cooler, 1 stick of RAM, your GPU (as Ryzen has no integrated graphics) and power connected to the board. If that fails try with the other stick of RAM. T Make sure you have connected all the power connectors to the GPU and the motherboard as well.

Yes sorry I meant b350 I was going of the top of my head... so to be clear disconnect all drives and remove one stick and try again.

Edit
The ram is Gskill Flare X 2 8 sticks at 2400. I haven't checked whether it is supported.
Edit 2
Msi states it is compatible with gskill ram.
Edit 3 sorry for these updates but I have looked into the website more and it doesn't mention my version which is f4-2400 is this why my system isn't showing visuals?

Yes, try with a single stick and no drives connected, basically as bare bones as you can make it. However if your RAM isn't officially supported by the motherboard it can easily be the reason the PC is failing to POST. I notice that the BIOS updates one of them says it 'improves memory compatibility' so it might be the case that the RAM kit would work if you could update the BIOS (not easy if it won't boot).

If you have an internal speaker connected you should hear a beep code when the PC is turned on. If it doesn't sound like a single beep then consult the manual about what the error code means. A lot of of cases don't have a speaker these days though so this might not be an option for you.

The problem you have is that even testing the RAM in another machine does't prove that it will work in your system. Really only using RAM that is listed as compatible with your system is an accurate test.

I checked the manual and it says that the ram of my MHz is supported. I have led incidicators on my motherboard to show issues during boot but I don't know what they lights mean as the manual didn't say. Do you have an idea on whether this will work. The boot didn't work without the hard drives and one ram.

Are any of the debug lights lit up? They mean CPU, DRAM, VGA and BOOT and the manual for the MSI B350 says that the LED is lit if there is a problem.

If your memory isn't supported by your motherboard it could easily be the reason that your PC won't boot. It isn't if the brand and speed is supported it is the actual model number that is important. In your case on the MSI B350 memory list I can't see any G.Skill 2400 kits that are listed as supported.

I am looking at the B350 MSI TOMAHAWK

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK.html#support-mem-2

If I am reading the ordering correctly in the manual for the Bazooka that is most likely CPU & DRAM error lights that are lit. It probably doesn't mean they're both at fault but the memory compatibility list for the motherboard only lists G.Skill kits from 2,667 - 3200.

You should probably also check that the CPU is properly mounted and hasn't been damaged when you installed it.

If you want to do a last test then you could breadboard the motherboard (basically run the PC outside of the case), this normally eliminates most outside factors. If your PC won't POST like that then you need to look into returning parts (starting with the memory).

I bought it from a local store I'll take it down tomorrow and see if they change the ram. This is a bit annoying as I have a coolermaster 212 overtop. But I guess that's all I can do.
