I have been trying to search about whether the Asus PA249Q is a true 10 bit monitor or not but I can’t get the picture together. I think I am missing something.

Some specs:
99% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB, and 120%* NTSC. 10-bit display color for over one billion onscreen colors and support 12 bit internal lookup table (LUT), which gives smoother gradations and a more natural transition between hues.

But How can it be so cheap if it is a true 10 bit display? Also I am wondering if the HDMI input is 2.0 and if it supports a 10 bit bandwidth? Cant find information on that either.

It is an older model that is not available as a new product many places (saw several refurb listings). I would recommend connecting to this display via DisplayPort for the best performance and not worry about the HDMI port spec.

I failed to determine that info as well.

Ok, thanks for the help. The thing is I just bought a Deck link mini monitor 4k and it only has HDMI and SDI output. Perhaps there is a converter to be able to connect to the DP port on the Asus but I don't know if this will affect image quality.

Yes, I know but since the monitor is old I fear it does not have HDMI 2.0. So perhaps one can get more bandwidth through the SDI. But maybe the HDMI will be sufficient.
