Confused re: AMD mobos

HELP. I've fallen behind the times. My HD just quit on me, so I've rationalized its time for a new system. I want SATA, RAID and an AMD chip (64 bit). But I don't know if I should go PCI-E for graphics? I am not the big of a gamer (play UT 04 now and then). But it seems like that's the next jump for graphics technology. Is PCI-E only availble for the "FX" AMD chips? Is it only available for the 939 sockets? I am so lost please someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Well I'd like to spend about $150 (ballpark) on each the mobo, CPU & video card. Is that possible w/PCI-E?

Gigabyte GA-K8NE... socket 754, PCI-E, nForce 4x chipset. You can use that with the cheaper socket 754 AMD64....
